Major Banks Lower Mortgage Rates

Several major banks are now lowering their variable mortgage rates following the Swedish Central Bank's double rate cut.

SEB is lowering by 0.50 percentage points to 4.74 percent. Handelsbanken is making an equally large cut, resulting in a variable mortgage rate of 4.79 percent. Nordea and Danske Bank are also lowering by 0.50 percentage points.

Swedbank is lowering its variable mortgage rate by 0.25 percentage points, following last week's cut which was also 0.25 percentage points, to 4.74 percent. The state-owned bank SBAB lowered by 0.10 percentage points at the end of October.
