SJ's website and app have been affected by technical problems in connection with the release of Christmas tickets on Wednesday. Customers are having difficulty booking trips.
It's technical problems that are causing the issue right now, and we're working on resolving it with the technicians, says Jonas Olsson, press chief at SJ.
SJ released its Christmas tickets at 9 am on Wednesday morning. A few minutes later, around 5,000 people were queuing for tickets, and the waiting time was over 10 minutes. By 10 am, the queue was gone, but instead, problems arose when trying to log in and buy trips.
As always when it comes to IT, we're working on identifying where the problem occurred and getting an understanding of how big the problem actually is. We're in the process of getting a picture, says Olsson.
In previous years, the website has completely crashed, and some tickets have not been possible to book at all.
In total, SJ is releasing tickets for 22,568 departures.
