A dangerous object was discovered in a car in Tumba in Botkyrka municipality at half past nine on Sunday evening.
The whole thing was revealed when the police stopped a vehicle for control and a person in the car told about the object.
The National Bomb Squad was called to the scene and confirmed that the object was live. A preliminary investigation regarding preparation for serious general endangerment and serious crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods has been initiated.
Several people have been detained and the investigative work continues throughout the night, the police write on their website.
