Linnéa Wikblad "burns" in "Music Aid"'s booth

Now the program leaders step into "Musikhjälpens" cage to stay – around the clock for a week. Being in it all the time makes you start to crack, says Linnéa Wikblad.

The lock-in increases engagement, thinks Wikblad, who is hosting "Musikhjälpen" for the second time. This year, together with P3 colleague Assia Dahir and YouTuber Emil Hansius.

People talk a lot about warmth and love and Christmas spirit, but from a hosting perspective, it's also extremely fun.

The program is also extremely live.

I have no idea who's coming, I don't have time to prepare. Every person who comes in is a surprise.

This year, the booth is located on Stora Torget in Sundsvall, where the audience can come to experience the live acts, including Laleh.

Last year, "Ho Ho" with Norwegian Freddy Kalas became the most requested song and a kind of "Musikhjälpen anthem".

I have a faint idea that Björnzone will be high up in the request statistics this year, also Freddy Kalas, people like traditions. Hooja will definitely be requested a lot.

"Everyone has the right to survive their pregnancy" is this year's theme, and the collected money – 59 million kronor last year – will go towards care before, during, and after childbirth. It can also be about offering safe abortions.

"Musikhjälpen" will be broadcast live from 9 to 15 December on Sveriges Radio P3 and on SVT Play.
