"The daily operations are not affected by the process and customers can continue to shop as usual in store and online", writes Lagerhaus.

The court has approved Magnus Löfving at Law Firm Lindahl in Gothenburg as reconstructor.

"Among the reconstruction measures being taken are negotiations of agreements and a review of the store network, which is a work that is starting now and where we cannot comment on the outcome", writes Lagerhaus in an email to TT.

According to the chain, the reconstruction is necessary to address liquidity problems.

"Inflation, exchange rates and freight prices have eroded margins simultaneously as low economic activity, high electricity prices and increased interest rates have reduced consumers' purchasing power. Moreover, the industry has been affected by significant rent increases and in combination with repayment of tax debts from the pandemic, liquidity challenges arise that now require measures", writes the company.
