Andreas Kramer is in the semifinals at the athletics EM in Italy. The 800-meter runner qualified as third in his heat, with a time of 1:46.46.
But the road there was not smooth sailing for the 27-year-old.
With a good push, he made his way forward and eventually snatched one of the three direct spots to the semifinals – with a narrow margin.
The semifinals will be decided on Saturday and the final on Sunday.
