The ranking is the highest since the hospital in Solna and Huddinge made it onto the list for the first time in 2020.
Much of this result is based on our collaboration with the Karolinska Institute. Here, we conduct research in absolute world-class together, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible to do for the best of our patients, says Christophe Pedroletti, head of Karolinska Hospital.
He believes that the high ranking on the list can "create many ripples".
This can stimulate people to want to work here, move here from abroad, conduct research here, and want to be part of this journey. The life science sector will increase its interest in us, says Pedroletti.
Newsweek's ranking is based on recommendations from over 85,000 experts in the healthcare sector, results from patient surveys, waiting times, patient safety and hygiene routines, as well as the use of patient-reported outcome measures, which measure the perceived benefit of care and quality of life after treatment.
