Therese Johaug is making a comeback on the ski tracks this winter, but the Norwegian star's new venture will not be particularly long-lasting.
In an interview with SVT, she is already closing the door to the Olympic Games in Italy 2026. Johaug firmly states that she only intends to compete next season, with the 50km event at the home World Championship in Trondheim as the major goal.
It's just Trondheim, then I'm done, says the 36-year-old to SVT.
Johaug has won a total of four Olympic gold medals and 14 World Championship gold medals throughout her career. She ended at the top in the spring of 2022, after three fresh Olympic gold medals from Beijing.
On May 17 last year, she gave birth to her daughter Kristin.
