Prosecutors in Israel are charging seven Israelis with spying for Iran over a period of two years, reports Haaretz.
The seven individuals are alleged to have carried out nearly 700 assignments, gathering intelligence on, among other things, military bases and the Israeli air defense system known as the Iron Dome, according to the suspicions.
The suspects are accused of having received hundreds of thousands of dollars in transfers from "Russian tourists".
According to the police, the suspects were arrested because there was a fear that people could come to harm, especially since it was discovered that they had begun collecting information about individual persons.
