Three people taken hostage by terrorist-stamped Hamas on October 7 were later killed in an Israeli air raid. This is confirmed by an Israeli investigation, which states that the three named individuals "with high probability" fell victim to an Israeli attack. The air raid is said to have killed the high-ranking Hamas leader Ahmed Ghandour.
The attack was carried out in November last year.
The remains of the three hostages were returned to Israel in December, but the likely cause of death was not made public until Sunday after a thorough review.
The formal announcement may further strengthen demands in Israel for a settlement with terrorist-stamped Hamas on a ceasefire in exchange for those still being held hostage.
