The Israeli military (IDF) reports that they launched attacks on targets in Lebanon in the morning. According to the IDF, these are facilities where Iran-backed Hezbollah was preparing attacks on Israel.

In connection with the attacks, Israel issued a warning to people in Lebanon. "You are in danger", the IDF wrote on Telegram.

Hezbollah confirms that they have initiated "phase one" of an attack on Israel. Initially, they claim to have fired over 300 rockets and drones. A few hours later, they considered the day's operation "completed".

Israel claims to have destroyed "thousands" of launch pads in Lebanon, a figure that cannot be confirmed.

According to Hezbollah, the attacks on Israel were carried out in response to Israel's killing of Shia militia leader Fuad Shukr in Beirut in July.

Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has declared a state of emergency in the country for the next 48 hours.

The US has promised support to Israel's defense through the Pentagon if necessary.

Only a few fatalities have been reported in connection with the attacks. According to Lebanon's state news agency, three people in the country have died in the attacks. There are no reports of fatalities in Israel.

For a few hours in the morning, all traffic was stopped at the international Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv, but by 7 am, it was announced that flights would resume.

At 5 pm on Sunday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is scheduled to speak about the attacks on Israel.
