The task from Israel's military came late on Monday:
"A fighter jet attacked a command center" in Nur Shams, the military announced, without giving further details about the exact target in the Israel-occupied West Bank.
Witnesses told the AFP news agency that four loud explosions were heard from a house in the area, which has refugee status. The camp, near Tulkarem, has been attacked several times by the Israeli military.
Israeli media report that the attack was carried out with a drone.
Representatives of the Palestinian Authority state that the death toll is five people, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Nur Shams has been the scene of fierce battles and extensive Israeli military operations. In July, the Israeli military carried out a 15-hour operation where the main street in Nur Shams was demolished with bulldozers.
According to AFP's calculations, partly based on Palestinian authorities' information, 640 Palestinians on the West Bank have been killed by the Israeli military and settlers since the terrorist-designated Hamas movement's attacks on Israel on October 7. At least 19 Israeli soldiers have fallen in clashes on the West Bank during the same period.
