Isabella Rossellini receives honorary award at European Film Awards, announces the film gala's organizers.
Rossellini, who is the daughter of Swedish Ingrid Bergman, debuted in the 1970s and is being awarded "for her outstanding work" and for her "unique contribution to the world of film".
The European Achievement in World Cinema Award has previously gone to, among others, Susanne Bier, Pierce Brosnan, Mads Mikkelsen and Helen Mirren.
She will receive it at an award ceremony on December 7 in Lucerne.
