Khamenei said in a televised speech that the USA and Israel are completely wrong in that the so-called axis of resistance has collapsed.

The concept coined by Iran has incorporated, among other things, Syria and Shia Muslim groups such as the Houthi movement in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the terrorist-listed Sunni movement Hamas.

At the same time, Tehran has chosen to distance itself from al-Assad's regime in Syria, the dictator's fall does not weaken Iran, says Khamenei. In the TV speech, he pointed out Israel and the USA as the greatest enemies of Shia Muslim Iran.

With the development in Syria, and the crimes that the Zionist regime (Israel's government) commits and that the USA commits – with the help of others – they believe that the resistance is over. They are completely wrong, said the 85-year-old ayatollah Khamenei.
