Dr Araghchi will travel to Moscow at the end of the week, says the Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei on Monday, reports AFP.
He adds that it is an opportunity to discuss the latest developments following the talks in Muscat.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, he will meet Sergey Lavrov, reports Russian state media.
Iran's nuclear energy meeting with the US will continue in Rome on Saturday, according to information from Axios.
Security Interests
The first round of talks between Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff was held on Saturday via Omani mediation in Muscat. It was the highest level of nuclear energy negotiations between the US and Iran since the previous agreement from 2015 collapsed.
After the talks on Saturday, Iran's Foreign Minister said it will not be easy to get an agreement in place.
France's Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot welcomes the talks between the US and Iran, but also calls for caution.
We will be vigilant, together with our British and German friends and partners, to ensure that all negotiations that can be conducted are compatible with our security interests, he says at a meeting with EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
Grossi to Iran
The pressure on Iran is great. Last week, Trump described military action against the country as an absolute possibility if the talks do not go in the direction the US wants.
The head of the UN's atomic energy agency IAEA, Rafael Grossi, announces on X that he will travel to Iran's capital Tehran at the end of this week to discuss cooperation on the country's nuclear energy program.
"Ongoing engagement and cooperation with the agency are crucial at a time when diplomatic solutions are acute", he writes.
