A delegation from the terror-stamped Hamas is on its way to Cairo in an attempt to renew talks about a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, reports the Qatari Al-Araby Al-Jadeed according to Israeli media.
The delegation is led by Khalil al-Hayya, one of Hamas' highest leaders, and will attempt to resume the negotiations between the Islamist movement and Israel through mediators from Egypt.
According to the newspaper, Turkey has been involved in re-establishing contact between the parties after a delegation from Hamas visited the capital Ankara last week.
In late July, Israel and the US called home their delegations from Qatari Doha after two weeks of indirect talks with Hamas without any breakthrough.
