Ica is recalling several salad mixes due to the risk of salmonella.
Salmonella has been detected in fresh red mangold during a routine sampling. Since red mangold is also included in crispy salad mix and seasonal mix, these are also being recalled as a precautionary measure.
The recall applies to Ica Red Mangold 65g, Ica Crispy Salad Mix 65g, and Ica Seasonal Mix 150g with a best-before date of 2024-08-17.
As an additional precautionary measure, the recall has been extended to three products.
The recall applies to Ica Season's Mix 65g with a best-before date of 2024-08-17, Ica Crisp Salad Mix 65g, and Ica Crispy Salad Mix 65g with a best-before date of 2024-08-16.
"At ICA, we conduct thorough quality controls of all products we put on the market. We take the incident seriously and are now investigating together with the supplier how this could have happened and how we can ensure it does not happen again," writes Ica in a press release.
