A two-year-old boy died from septic shock at the Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) last year.

Now the hospital is facing criticism from the Inspectorate for Healthcare and Welfare (Ivo), which believes that the care has failed, reports P4 Kristianstad.

The boy fell ill with sepsis, as a result of streptococci, last summer. The parents sought care several times, but only received help on their third visit.

The parents chose to report the hospital, and Ivo's investigation shows that treatment should have started earlier.

The death has been reported according to Lex Maria by CSK.
