The Iran-backed Shia militia Hezbollah says on Tuesday that they have launched "intensive" and attacked Israeli military positions on the Golan Heights with rockets.
According to Hezbollah, it is a response to Israeli attacks on weapons depots in the Beqa'a region in eastern Lebanon the day before.
The Israeli army confirms that around 55 projectiles have crossed the border from Lebanon.
Israel and Hezbollah have been shelling each other almost daily since the war in Gaza broke out last year.
