Two healthcare centers in central Stockholm are losing their contracts with the region due to serious deficiencies, reports SVT News. The Primary Care Committee was unanimous in its decision to terminate the contracts.
It's about, among other things, the healthcare centers not having had sufficiently competent healthcare staff on site, says Primary Care Regional Councilor Christine Lorne (C) to SVT.
The healthcare centers have also claimed to have extended opening hours to receive extra compensation, but then not kept them open.
Region Stockholm is demanding that 330,000 kronor be paid back. The healthcare centers' owners are calling the region's decision "hasty".
SVT also has information that the healthcare centers are being investigated and are suspected of having accepted bribes and written false certificates.
