A man in his 30s is being prosecuted after the police found nearly 24 kilos of explosives in a suitcase in his home in Gothenburg. The apartment also contained over 500 grams of cocaine and almost eight kilos of cannabis resin, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
Before the explosives and drugs were found, the police had witnessed the man handing over a kilo of hash to a pair of teenagers not far from the residence.
The man is therefore being prosecuted for aggravated drug offenses and for violating the law on flammable and explosive substances, a particularly serious offense.
According to the man, he had received the suitcase with explosives a few days earlier. At the time, he was unaware of its contents but had been informed that it would be picked up shortly.
