European Football Association (Uefa) will distribute around 470 million kronor in prize money in the European Championship in 2025.

How large a share of the cake each nation gets, in addition to the 20 million guaranteed for qualifying for the championship, is decided by how they perform in the tournament.

With Sweden's three wins in the group stage and a quarter-final spot, Sweden's pot ended up at around 29.4 million kronor – of which 40 percent goes to the player squad.

This means that each player gets just over 510,000 kronor each for Sweden's effort in the European Championship finals.

Had Sweden, on the other hand, won the tournament, each player in the squad would have received over 1 million each – just over 1,050,000 kronor.
