There is a large fire in an apartment building in Säter.
Six units are on site to combat the fire that started in an apartment and then spread up to the roof, says Jonas Eriksson, duty officer at Rescue Service Dala Mitt to TT.
The fire has so far been limited to the roof of the property. According to the rescue service, one person has been taken to hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries, reports P4 Dalarna.
Since the risk of spread was initially assessed as high, the police prepared for an evacuation of adjacent properties.
Our task on site is to assist the rescue service by knocking on doors in adjacent properties and preparing those who live there that they may need to move, says Olga Åkerblad, duty officer at Police Region Bergslagen.
