"It feels incredibly big to get to go to such a big club as Porto. It's a big step, but I'm ready. At the same time, it's emotional to leave Hammarby, it's my second home. I hope I can return one day", says Gül in a statement.
This season, the striker has scored three goals and two assists in 18 matches in Allsvenskan.
"This is a big deal for Hammarby, and a huge opportunity for Deniz. From a sports perspective, it means we're losing a competitive player in the attack, and we're exploring the possibilities of bringing in a replacement", says Hammarby's sports manager Mikael Hjelmberg.
According to Portuguese O Jogo and Record, Porto pays approximately 50 million kronor for Gül, and an additional 5-6 million can be added to Hammarby through bonuses.
Porto finished last season in third place in the Portuguese league. The club has won several titles in recent years and has been featured in the Champions League several times in recent seasons.
