Ukraine must be allowed to use its weapons against targets deeper in Russia, believes Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
She wants more countries to drop their reservations about how the weapons they have donated can be used. Denmark, for example, does not prevent Ukraine from using Danish F16 fighter jets in attacks deeper from the border areas.
My proposal is that we end the discussion about red lines, says Frederiksen to the news agency Bloomberg.
Russia is well aware of the reservations Ukraine has received and therefore has an "all too good hand", according to Frederiksen. The most important red line was crossed when Russia launched the large-scale invasion of its neighboring country, she emphasizes.
So I will not accept that premise. And I will never let anyone from Russia decide what is the right thing to do in NATO, in Europe, or in Ukraine.
