Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) was forced to cancel her last campaign day. Now she is urging her fellow citizens to go and vote in the EU election, after the attack she was subjected to on Friday.
In a statement, Frederiksen says: "Today, all votes are counted equally. It's something of the most beautiful thing about an election day. Therefore, I also hope that you all go down and make your voice heard."
It was on Friday at Kultorvet in central Copenhagen where Frederiksen was attacked by a drunk man, and she was taken to Rigshospitalet in the Danish capital after the incident and received minor neck injuries. The man has been arrested.
