Filipino police have arrested a pastor who is wanted in both the Philippines and the USA for crimes including sexual abuse of children and human trafficking.
He is suspected of human trafficking of girls and women aged 12-25, and of abuse and suspected rape of individuals employed as personal assistants in his church, KOJC.
Sunday's arrest took place after a two-week massive police hunt for the suspect, who refers to himself as the son appointed by God. The arrested, Apollo Quiboloy, was also close to former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Quiboloy gave up after he and four accomplices were surrounded by police in a facility linked to his church in Davao in southern Philippines.
The USA has issued an arrest warrant for Quiboloy, as he is suspected of, among other things, financial irregularities and providing false information to obtain a visa to the USA.
