The explosion occurred at 04, on Tuesday night. The police received calls about blasts in the area of Gamla Enskede.
We don't know what has exploded, but something has. It has caused material damage to a gate, but it seems to be relatively limited, says the police's press spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
There are no reports of personal injuries. The police have conducted a technical investigation and have taken witness statements. So far, no one has been arrested or detained.
A leader in a criminal network is registered at the address. Wikdahl, however, does not want to comment on this:
When we conduct an investigation like this, it naturally includes going through who lives at an address, but I won't comment on who they are.
The same gate was also targeted in an attack in December 2022.
"Pretty normal"
Next to the gate that was the target of the explosion is also the entrance to a preschool. This door was also damaged in the explosion.
It's bloody awful. It's the second time it's happened, apparently, says an anonymous man who has children at the preschool, and adds that he hasn't had time to think much about the incident yet:

Several residents in the house who spoke to TT say that the police knocked on their doors around 6 am and asked if they had heard or seen anything. One of them, who is standing in the middle of the shattered glass, remembers the previous explosion and says it was worse because it happened inside the house.
Another resident tells that the night's explosion caused a flower pot to fall from her windowsill.
"Like home"
The preschool was temporarily closed for a few hours in the morning but opened as usual at 8 am. A mother who had just dropped off her child at the preschool also remembers the previous attack.
Then we had just moved in and had only lived here for two months. It's really sad and uncomfortable.
It's just as fragile when it affects the preschool as when it affects your home.
The area has previously been affected by violence on several occasions. In January 2023, a shooting occurred in nearby Enskededalen, although no one was injured. In October 2023, a villa in Enskededalen caught fire after flammable liquid was thrown at the facade at night. Later the same month, an explosion was carried out targeting an apartment in a multi-family house.
