This year's "Bird Song Night" on Swedish Radio will be broadcast from Lake Tåkern in Östergötland.

The night of May 17, starting at midnight, "Naturmorgon's" employees Mats Ottosson and Jenny Berntson Djurvall will broadcast live for eight hours on P1 and hope to hear, among other things, waders, small-spotted crakes, and trumpeting cranes.

This year's "Bird Song Night" will be the sixth in a row on the radio. Reports will also be submitted from Bingsmarken outside Smygehuk in Skåne, Strömbäck-Kont outside Umeå, and Storån and Lillån on the border between Uppland and Västmanland, where reporters will be present with microphones.

"The fantastic thing about Bird Song Night is that as a listener, you get the chance to be in so many places at the same time, in so many different soundscapes that are all wonderful in their own way," says Mats Ottosson in a press release.
