Former TV4 top executive and publishing house CEO Eva Swartz Grimaldi has passed away, confirms a representative for the family.
"Our beloved Eva Swartz Grimaldi, 68 years old, has after a longer period of illness peacefully fallen asleep at home surrounded by her loved ones. Eva has been extremely loved and until the very end been active and shown with what primal force she lived her life", reads part of the family's statement.
Swartz Grimaldi became TV4's entertainment and drama chief in 1998, after having been the CEO of the production company Meter Film and Television. A few years later, she was appointed as the channel's program director.
In 2005, she left the TV industry and became the CEO of the publishing house Natur och Kultur.
Swartz Grimaldi has also served as chairman and member of several boards, including Apotea, Norstedts, SBB, Storytel, the Swedish Film Institute, SVT, Nobel Media, and Stockholm University.
In 2020, she was awarded the King's Medal in gold of the 12th size for outstanding contributions to Swedish cultural and social life.
