The 4-12 November is likely to be the hearing period in the EU Parliament for Jessika Roswall and other nominees for the next EU Commission. In that case, the new Commission can take office as early as December 1.
A decision will be made by the Parliament's group leaders on Wednesday, but according to the news site Politico Europe, there is already a majority for November hearings. Only the conservative EPP is pushing for the start of the hearings already in October.
The Parliament's committee chairmen discussed the schedule on Tuesday. According to the basic proposal, the hearings will be spread over six days, with two, four or six hearings per day, divided into morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
Prior to this, the Parliament's Legal Committee must have completed its preliminary review of the nominees by October 18 at the latest.
