A 40-year-old woman who escaped from forensic psychiatry in Falköping five months ago is now back – after surrendering to the police, reports P4 Skaraborg.

The woman, who disappeared when she was shopping in a grocery store with a caregiver on February 22, has, according to her own information, been hiding in a location in Småland during her time at the forensic psychiatry unit.

According to information to the radio, the department is now receiving internal criticism since there was only one employee supervising the woman in the store on the day she escaped.

The woman is considered violent and has previously been convicted of violent crimes and illegal harassment. She is considered to be at risk of reoffending.
