Earlier in the summer, the police's "Operation Beta" was completed, which identified men who risk exposing their relatives to deadly violence. The countryside is overrepresented there, according to SR.

What stands out and is constantly recurring is the presence of firearms. And there is a certain overrepresentation of psychosocial difficulties, perhaps with abuse, says criminologist Anders Östlund at the police in region Mitt to SR.

In several police regions, the police have visited homes of couples where they have assessed the man as a risk individual. But Anders Östlund does not think the work is sufficient.
