Erik Grönwall has previously won "Idol" 2009, sung in the rock group Heat, and been Grammy-nominated for his performance in the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". Now his autobiography is coming, writes Dagens Nyheter.
"Power – the music, death, life" is the name of the book that Grönwall has written together with author Pernilla Karlsson.
In 2021, Erik Grönwall was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia and was brought back to life thanks to a successful bone marrow transplant. After the treatment, he began releasing music on his own YouTube channel, including a cover of the Skid Row song "18 and life" – which was his audition song in "Idol".
The film caught the attention of the members of Skid Row, who were looking for a new singer, and the job went to Grönwall. However, his health problems forced the band to postpone several tours to give Grönwall's immune system more time to recover, and in March 2024, Grönwall announced that he was leaving the group.
