A woman in her 80s has died in a traffic accident in Gävle.
The woman and a man of the same age were traveling in a passenger car that collided with a truck. Both were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The accident occurred at around 2 pm on Wednesday. Later in the day, the hospital announced that the woman had died from her injuries.
I don't know the extent of the man's injuries, says police spokesperson Pelle Vamstad.
The police are investigating the accident as reckless driving. There are no suspects.
