A man in his 70s has died in a drowning accident in Hamburgsund, the police write on their website.
The police, rescue services and sea rescue were alerted to the scene on Saturday afternoon when a man was seen lying in the water. Despite resuscitation attempts, his life could not be saved.
The police suspect no crime.
The man's relatives have been informed of the death.
