The rescue service was alerted at 5 pm on Tuesday about an explosion in an apartment building in Örebro. On site, it was found that it was a fire in an apartment.
We are investigating an attempt at serious arson, and have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with the scene, says the police's press spokesperson Rasmus Eriksson.
The fire is isolated to an apartment and what has exploded is still unclear.

The fire is extinguished but at 7:30 pm the scene was still cordoned off.
