Three soldiers from the Lebanese army and four soldiers from the UN peacekeeping force Unifil have been injured in Israel's attack at the main entrance to the city of Sidon, according to the Lebanese military.

At the same time, Lebanese state media report that three Unifil soldiers have been injured in an Israeli attack near their vehicle at the entrance to the city.

"The enemy's aircraft targeted a car in Sidon near the military's checkpoint", reports the state news agency NNA.

The Unifil force's vehicle was in the lane that was the target of the attack, which led to the soldiers being injured, according to the reports. They are said to have received medical treatment on the spot.

Attack near airport

Israel has also attacked Hezbollah's stronghold in the southern parts of the capital Beirut on Thursday. One of the attacks hit near Lebanon's only international airport.

The attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon before dawn came after Hezbollah on Wednesday took responsibility for several attacks on Israel, including a rocket attack on a military base near the international airport Ben Gurion south of Tel Aviv.

On Wednesday, Lebanese health authorities also reported that at least 40 people had been killed in eastern Lebanon in Israeli attacks.

Further attack

Israel has also launched a drone attack on a car on a road that stretches between Beirut and the Bekaa Valley and further to the neighboring country of Syria, according to state media.

"An enemy drone targeted a car in Ayaya", reports NNA, which states that the road is closed after the attack.

Last week, two cars were attacked on the same road, including a van with ammunition belonging to Hezbollah.
