In total, 42,000 reader votes have been cast for the different titles, and Lisa Ridzén also receives first prize in the category of debutant of the year.
The novel, which was the tenth best-selling book title in Sweden last year, is about Bo – an old man who tries to improve his relationship with his son before it's too late. In addition to being an author, Ridzén is also a doctoral student in sociology and conducts research, among other things, on masculinity in rural Norrland. Her debut novel is now to be translated into around 30 languages.
The Adlibris prizes are voted for in nine categories based on a selection of titles nominated by Adlibris. The prizes consist of designed bookends.
Joanna Andrés' "Det spökar på äventyrsbadet" was voted as the children's book of the year for ages 6–12, and Holly Jackson's "En duktig flickas handbok i mord" as the best young adult book.
