Barbie dolls sold in conjunction with the upcoming film "Wicked" have a link on the packaging to a porn site. The manufacturer apologizes and urges buyers to discard the packaging, but some instead choose to put the doll up for auction on auction sites as a "collector's item", reports The Verge.
On several sites, images of the doll depicting Ariana Grande's character from the upcoming film and the link to the porn site can be seen. According to Barbie manufacturer Mattel, which produced the doll, the product, marketed to children from four years old, has been "mainly" sold on the American market. Exactly how many dolls shipped with the misleading link on the packaging is unclear.
The "Wicked" film has its Swedish premiere on November 22.
