In a TV interview with the Australian morning program Today, cited by NME, Denzel Washington, on a promotional tour for "Gladiator II", reveals that he has been offered a role in the third sequel to "Black Panther".
After that, he is considering putting an end to his career.
At this point in my career, I'm only interested in working with the best. I don't know how many more films I'll make, it's probably not that many, said Washington in the program.
But before crowning his career with a Marvel film, a Shakespeare classic is next in line. Washington will play "Othello" directed by Steve McQueen – a role he will also perform on Broadway next year alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
I played Othello at 22. I'm about to play Othello at 70, said Washington.
