The superhero film "Deadpool & Wolverine" has set a new record. During the premiere weekend, it grossed 438.3 million dollars globally, equivalent to 4.75 billion kronor.

This is the most lucrative premiere for an R-rated film globally. In the USA, it ranks eighth on the list of the most lucrative premiere weekends for a film ever.

It's not just fantastic for Disney or Marvel, it's fantastic for the entire industry, says Tony Chambers, who leads Disney's film distribution, to AP.

Films stamped as "R-rated" in the USA may contain severe violence, sexual content, profanity, or drug use and have an age limit of 17 years for those who want to see the film without adult accompaniment. In Sweden, this corresponds to an age limit of 15 years.
