Two Swedish teenage boys, 16 and 19 years old, are suspected of having transported five hand grenades and of having thrown two of them towards an address in Hellerup north of Copenhagen, where the Israeli embassy is located.
In early October, the Swedes were detained for 27 days. Both denied committing a crime during the hearing. Two days later, it emerged that the Swedes are also suspected of terrorist crimes.
They were initially detained until October 30. Both have accepted being re-detained until November 7, when a new detention hearing will be held. Already now, the Copenhagen police state that the prosecutor will request that both Swedes be detained for terrorism, paragraph 114 of the penal code (Danish criminal code).
TT has sought out the Swedes' defense lawyers, who do not want to comment on their stance on the terrorism suspicion.
In mid-October, a 50-year-old man registered in Denmark was arrested. He has also been detained in the case. The Copenhagen police do not want to disclose what he is suspected of, citing secrecy.
