The fashion concern Hugo Boss is paying 12 million Danish kronor for violating the Danish Competition Act, according to the Danish authority NSK.
According to NSK, Hugo Boss – which has accepted the fine – continuously informed major competitors such as the retail chains Ginsborg and Kaufmann about pricing, discounts, and sale dates in Hugo Boss stores between January 2014 and April 2018.
This information has, according to NSK, made it possible for competitors to adjust their own sales strategies.
In addition to Hugo Boss as a company, two leading employees at the company have accepted personal fines of 120,000 Danish kronor each for their involvement.
The case was reported to the Danish competition authorities in August 2021.
