It concerns a 25-year-old Danish gang member who will be brought before a detention judge during the day, writes the Copenhagen police on the media platform X.

According to the prosecutor, he is said to have made his apartment available to the Swede and helped him order a taxi, reports the news agency Ritzau from the detention hearing. The man denies the crime.

It was on Tuesday evening that a 25-year-old Swedish man was arrested with two hand grenades in the Tingbjerg area of Copenhagen.

He was detained the day after and is now suspected of possessing hand grenades. He is also suspected of planning an explosion in Copenhagen, which failed because he was arrested by the police.

Prosecutor Astrid Helmsø stated in connection with the detention hearing that the intention was to harm others.

The Swedish man has admitted to possessing the hand grenades, but denies the charge of planning to detonate them.

On Thursday, a 41-year-old Danish man was detained for involvement. He is suspected of complicity in the possession. Documents show that it was he who handed over the hand grenades to the Swedish man. He paid the Swede, arranged a hotel room, and acted as a driver, reports the news agency Ritzau.

According to the Danish police, the 41-year-old is also part of the gang criminal environment.
