The investigation against a rape suspect was dropped by the police due to lack of evidence. But before that, he had been exposed as a rapist with name and picture on Facebook and the post got widespread attention. Now a man in Malmö is being prosecuted for gross defamation, reports Sydsvenskan.

The man who is now being prosecuted is the father of the victimized girl. In police questioning, he has explained that he acted in shock.
The girl's mother is being prosecuted for unlawful threats due to how she expressed herself in the comment field in connection with the exposure on Facebook. Both parents deny any wrongdoing.
