Authorities in Guyana recently seized more than 3,600 kilograms of cocaine, a seizure considered the largest in modern history in the South American country.
Robeson Benn, Security Minister of Guyana, stated that the seizure is estimated to be worth at least 200 million dollars – equivalent to approximately two billion Swedish kronor.
The narcotics were found buried in pits in northwestern Guyana. One suspect has been arrested and two more are being sought by the police.
