National team defender Jonna Andersson leaves top club Hammarby for the Damallsvenskan competitor Linköping.

"This has of course not been an easy decision. I've had an incredibly good time in Hammarby and have experienced so many fantastic moments here. But in the end, my decision was based on a overall picture where Linköping felt like the right choice for my future", says the 31-year-old Östgötan to Hammarby's website.

Left-back Andersson played in Linköping until 2017 before leaving for the English top club Chelsea. In the summer of 2022, she signed with Hammarby, where the 2023 season ended with both SM gold and cup gold.

Andersson had an outgoing contract with the Stockholm club. Two Champions League matches remain in the Hammarby jersey before she leaves. The team meets Barcelona and S:t Pölten in December.

The contract with Linköping extends over three seasons.
