SVT and TV4 share the rights to the championship, and Lundqvist will appear on both channels.

I look forward to being on site to follow the Olympic Games and to report and analyze from the hockey tournament, says Lundqvist to SVT.

The hockey icon won Olympic gold in Turin 2006 with Tre Kronor.

I hope that with my own experiences, I can give the viewers an insight into both emotions and thoughts before and during matches, says Lundqvist.

The 43-year-old former hockey goalkeeper made over 1,000 matches in the NHL for New York Rangers, where the Swede is a big icon. Lundqvist is elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame (NHL) and the Swedish equivalent.

Tre Kronor have Italy, Slovakia, and Finland in their Olympic group.

The Olympic Games in Milano-Cortina take place 6–22 February 2026.
