There is a stop in train traffic south of Stockholm due to a comprehensive signalling fault, reports P4 Stockholm.

The stop is between Årstaberg and Älvsjö and affects both commuter trains and long-distance trains. The trains between Stockholm and Göteborg and between Stockholm and Malmö are at a standstill, but the commuter train traffic is also severely affected.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, it is likely that the overhead contact lines have been torn down. There is no forecast for when the trains can run as usual again.

Our commuter trains are turning at the Stockholm City and Älvsjö stations, says Andreas Strömberg at SL's press service to DN, and refers passengers to alternative routes.
